I am a singer from Portugal, currently based between New York City and Alaska. My music lives at the intersection of jazz, Latin, Portuguese, and African traditions, shaped by storytelling, emotional honesty, and the freedom of improvisation.
My path into music began later, following an initial career in architecture, but a profound and unexpected connection to singing—particularly jazz—led me to change direction and dedicate myself fully to music. Since then, I have studied jazz in Portugal, explored classical and music theatre in Alaska, immersed myself in New York’s vibrant and diverse jazz scene, and most recently studied in Cuba to deepen my understanding of Cuban music and dance and their dialogue with jazz.
I perform in a wide range of ensemble settings and lead projects that center on expression, connection, and shared experience. I am especially drawn to arranging and reimagining songs across genres and am increasingly expanding into composition. My music reflects the places I’ve lived, the cultures I’ve learned from, and the joy of discovering new ways to tell stories through sound.
